Today’s prompt is Close.
Ready Set Write or Blog!
Close. We close doors. We close chapters in our lives. We close books. We close windows. Yet what if we are struggling to close something? What if we want to close something but yet we know it needs to be done?
A survivor who is struggling to close something is difficult. We struggle because we are trying to rebuild brand new memories on top of the old horrific memories that are there. We want to replace the tears of saddness with tears of joy. We want and yearn to be normal again when it seems it is impossible to be normal again.
We want to replenish the years the locust has take from us. We want joy and fun on the hard day that we go through. Close. A word that means to close on something. How often do you not do it? How often do you do it?
What can you pray for a survivor who needs to close the door on something?
What (stop) is God laying on your heart to do for the survivor?
I will leave you with this Scripture Joel 2:25-28:
25 “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten —the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm —my great army that I sent among you.
26 You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.
27 Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.

Visiting from FMF. Pretty profound stuff stuffed in five minutes. I believe we are all survivors and even the bad memories and bad stuff are part of what makes us unique. When our time is closed, we’ll see how it all fit into place. Good job.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I think there are many quiet survivors walking among us. It seems we’re so often distracted by our own ‘stuff’ we don’t always take the time to hear the stories of the people God puts in our path. I love the scriptures you’ve shared.
