Baskets being made for survivors is something they will treasure and be grateful for many years. This post we are looking at the months of February, March and April.

February Ideas:
• Giftcards to resturants: Longhorn Steakhouse, Logan’s Roadhouse, Johnny Carrino’s, etc…(Think of Valentine’s Day for the Survivors)
• Valentine’s day slippers (found @ Target for roughly $5.00)
• love song cds
• Coasters for homes
• Red and Pink kitchen Towels
• Bathroom towels
• Bathroom accessories
• Something Homemade

March Ideas:
• umbrellas
• picture frames for the new memories
• candles for the home
• games for the family and children (Carrsone)
• Giftcards to: TJ Maxx, Belk, Marshalls, Target, Walmart, Kohls, Macy’s
• Throws for spring
• Children’s Toys
• Laundry Detergent (I had to use unscented due to the stress but worth it)
• Tervis Cups and Thermoses
• Homemade Items

April Ideas:
• Weather Radio
• Giftcards to: Payless Shoe Store, Famous Footwear, Footlocker,
• Raincoats/Spring Jackets
• Tea pot and Tea Cup for tea drinkers
• Gift Certificate to a Home Show Representative (such as Premier Jewelry, Home Interiors, Thirty-One Gifts etc….)
• Christian Fiction and Nonfiction — find out who their favorite author is

These lists may not be very long but everyone gets the idea. It is something that is important to getting back on their feet. Include each month something homemade if plausible because those gifts are the best ones to receive. Before giving the baskets/gifts pray over them and the families that will receive them. Include Scriptures also with each basket for them to use and to place around their new temporary homes.
