It is finally here. Five Minute Friday with Lisa Jo Baker(www.lisajobaker.com) and it is a day to put aside all the grammar, spell checks and everything else. Today is the day we set the time for 5 minutes and write on whatever prompt we are given. We will then connect with other bloggers on Lisa Jo Baker and to encourage other bloggers there.
We write stories, journals and everything. Many times the things we have written are true stories, but never shared with others. God’s Word was written so we could have it upon our hearts. We are to write it upon our hearts. To know it more and to understand it more.
Our days were written before one of them came to be even before we were born. How many times do we wonder when a natural disaster occurs, that is written in our lives. Sometimes it is hard to understand, but we may never even know what or why it was written for.
Psalm 139:16 (NIV)
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
He commands us to write his commands upon our hearts. So that in our lives we can emulate his decrees and love toward others.
Deu 5:31-33 (NIV)
But you stay here with me so that I may give you all the commands, decrees and laws you are to teach them to follow in the land I am giving them to possess.”
32 So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. 33 Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
It is a long difficult road as a Christian reaching for the goal. Yet with our human heart we struggle because of sin. Sin that we were born into and have had since day one of our lives. He has written our names who have received Him into our hearts into the Book of Life. We are his and he is mine.
Rev 3:5 (NIV)
5 The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
Now disasters that are on this earth are different and written there to grow up. God gave us the miracle to know him better and to know him more through this. Through this long journey of (stop) of recover through the Joplin Tornado. I know for sure that it was written to encourage other survivors that Jesus has been with us and that he will always be with us. Written to show his glory through the disaster.
