Today is the day in which many bloggers are getting together to write for five minutes straight, no grammatical checks and such. We write on one certain topic/prompt.
Today’s Writing Prompt is:
Psalm 72.14 says: He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in His sight. We are precious to God as his children, and our blood is precious to him.
Matthew 26.28: This is the blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. In other words Jesus’ blood covers our sins and we are forgiven by God, but we have to ask Jesus into our lives in order to be forgiven and covered by His blood.
1 Peter 1.19: but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. Jesus was the ultimate and perfect sacrifice. He knew no sin. He was sinless. This is what the sacrifices of the old covenant was speaking of.
Revelation 19.13: He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God. Jesus’ robe is dipped in blood, and He is the Word of God in the flesh. He died to cover our sins with his blood.
There are many more scriptures to look up on blood (360 total) but these are only a few. A few verses more (Hebrews 9.12 and 9.22) Especially in Hebrews talking about how Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He is the redemption for us.
This is what we as parents need to realize that we are disciplining our children to look to Him and ask him for help in every circumstances. We need to discipline with a Redeeming discipline not with behaviour modification.
I am sorry for going over the five minutes but this needed to spoken/written.
How are you going to use redeeming discipline with your child(ren)? How will you direct them further to Christ? What steps do you plan to take?
