Tornado Shelters

Tornado shelters are a must in this area, for without them, a lot of population would be lost. We have had some of the deadliest tornadoes these past few years. These tornados everyone has to take shelter whether you want to or not. Life is very short.

1 Peter 1:24

New International Version (NIV)

24 For,

“All people are like grass,
    and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,

Twister Safe….are you safe from a deadly tornado?

We must realise that the shelters are detrimental to everyone who lives in tornado ally. The tornadoes have taken out homes, lives, lively hoods, and many other places we care and deeply love. we have to keep our family safe not matter what. Twistersafe, is doing it for this area. Located in Neosho Missouri on Hwy P, they make and install them. They have many different types of shelters, from inground to above ground. This one pictured was a couple who survivied the Joplin Tornado and lived to tell about it. This is one of their saferooms.

Yet there is somthing else along the lines of being safe, and that is safe in the Hands of God who is the creator of all. We need to trust Him even when situations arise like this.

Psalm 91

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 91

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

Many of you may wonder why is Psalm 91 and Genesis 15.1 right here in the midst of a post about tornado shelters? Easy, because God is the true shelter for us, no matter what. He is our shield and reward. He protects us from our enemy. Yes the enemy has attacked many places in the Midwest with Tornadoes, hurricanes in the south, Nor’Easters in the NE and earthquakes and fires in the West. GOD is in control of our lives,and of nature, He created nature. As we were made by God to fellowship with him and love him, that was lost in the fall of man, but we have a chance when we accept Him as our Savior and Lord.

Psalm 91 Resonates with the Storms for the fact that God protected so many who  were sheltering young children and knew that praying would save them.

Abram, in chapter 15 was getting ready to go into battle against several kings in order to rescue his nephew Lot. Yet he sought God who gave Him the direction. He was told by God that God was His reward and shield. God would go before him. God did go before Him and everything.

Where has he gone before you? Is He your reward? IS He your Shelter?

What would consider a shelter from the storms?

If you Live in tornado ally do you have a storm shelter? Is it above ground or below ground? Are going to get one with the tornadoes we have had these past few years?

Last but not least I am leaving you with a printable just for your personal use only….
